YIMI is a South African fashion brand that believes in the beauty of Africa stories narrating them through fabric, color and contextualized in Xhosa culture.

Nobuhle

The 

Series

Named after the isiXhosa word for “beauty,” the Nobuhle Series. Inspired by the beauty of the rural areas. From the circular geometry of rondavel to the vibrant color painted village wall. With this series we wanted to translate African rural home into wearable art.

Nomalanga

The 

Introducing Nomalanga  a forthcoming capsule inspired by the warmth, depth, and quiet power of African sunsets.Bold golds, grounded browns, and glowing motifs meet in this skirt, which features our signature hand-painted detailing and a voluminous bubble hem. Nomalanga, meaning “Mother of the Sun,” carries light, pride, and presence  just like the women who wear it.
